The 2022 vintage was the hottest summer in Kaoso (Ueda City) in five years since 2018. After the summer's heavy rainfall, there was relatively little rain from August onward (935 mm/year in the city) and a good amount of sunshine, especially in the second half of the year, which allowed the grapes to ripen in good condition at the end of the season.

From 2022, the red wine was entrusted to Cave Hatano in Tomi City, the ripe Merlot and Cabernet has dark cherry and cassis aroma with a sense of concentration, and rich sweetness in the mouth with a smooth acidity and dense, velvety tannins and a long finish.

 It is an easy-drinking red wine that can be easily matched with modern French and Japanese cuisine, and yet it has a solid body and alcohol content.

The wine is already delicious now, but it has been made to be mellow for the next five years.
